The willowy UWC women’s champion, Crystal Clear, defended her belt against Erika Rose in beautiful downtown Wilson, NC last Friday night. Ms. Clear was accompanied to the ring by her proteges, UWC tag team champs Alex Adonis and Dwayne Allen. Erika had plenty to be worried about from Crystal’s crew, but she gamely entered the ring, causing a cowardly Crystal to make a speedy exit, supposedly to ‘fix her hair’ while Mr. Adonis held Ms. Clear’s ever present mirror. Just when the match finally got underway, entrance music began to play and all eyes (including Ms. Rose’s!) turned to the curtains. Crystal Clear took advantage of this momentary (and pre-arranged?) distraction to roll Erika Rose up for the pin and the match. Rule #1 in wrestling is “Never take your eyes off your opponent” … a rule which Ms. Rose learned in a ‘crystal clear’ manner!
