Mr. Brian Reese, a good friend of mine has asked me to post this message about the 2009 Indy Diva Awards. As far as I know these are the ONLY such awards actually determined by the FANS! So listen up … A message from Mr. Reese: (with a little editing by me for space considerations)

Greetings to you,one and all! This is Brian Reese,the group owner of the immensely popular worldwide independent women’s wrestling YAHOO! group site INDY DIVAS. I am currently accepting nominations in the following categories (including perhaps a couple of new ones) for the 2009 INDY DIVAS Awards:

-WRESTLER OF THE YEAR-
-MANAGER/VALET OF THE YEAR-
-(Baby)FACE OF THE YEAR-
-HEEL OF THE YEAR-
-BABE OF THE YEAR-
-MOST IMPROVED WRESTLER OF THE YEAR-
-TAG TEAM OF THE YEAR-
-FEUD OF THE YEAR-
-MATCH OF THE YEAR (if at all possible, please give the date of the match AND the name of the wrestling promotion that the female combatants wrestled in)
-PROMOTION OF THE YEAR (could be either an all women’s wrestling promotion or a
promotion that promotes and features female wrestling)-
-INDY WRESTLING PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR-
and the big one…..
-THE 2009 INDY DIVA OF THE YEAR-!!!

The period covered for the 2009 INDY DIVAS Awards is from November 1st, 2008 through October 31st, 2009. You can cast your votes for your favorite female independent wresting personalities in the afforementioned categories until Monday, December 7th at 1 AM Eastern Standard Time/12 AM Central Standard Time.
Also at this time, I will be taking your suggestions for perhaps some other categories that I might take some consideration for the possibility of adding a few more categories at the 2009 INDY DIVAS Awards.

ONLY ONE VOTE PER CATEGORY PER GROUP MEMBER PLEASE!
The 6 female independent wrestling personalities who receive the most nominations in a category will be the official nominees for that category. Once all the votes have been officially accumulated and tabulated by me on Monday, December 14th, the Top 6 nominees in each category will be determined.
THEN, ON THE MORNING OF WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 16TH IS WHEN ALL THE FUN BEGINS!
when all the nominees and categories for the 2009 INDY DIVAS Awards will be officially announced for you to cast your votes.

Your votes will determine the winners. Voting ends on Thursday night, January 27th, 2010 at 1 AM EST/12 AM CST and the winners will be officially announced on Friday, January 28th, 2010.
I WANT EVERYBODY TO PLEASE READ AND TO UNDERSTAND THE FOLLOWING BEFORE YOU CAST YOUR VOTES!
(1) NOT EVERYBODY YOU VOTE FOR WILL QUALIFY! Only the top 6 vote-getters will qualify for the final polling.
(2) No “write-in” nominations will be accepted after Wednesday, December 16th, 2009.
(3) PLEASE DO NOT vote for any female wrestling personalities currently in WWE or TNA.
We are focusing solely on the female wrestling personalities that are primarily in the independent wrestling circuit. The only exception that I will allow are the following
- any female wrestling personality that has been a part of the independent wrestling circuit for at least 4-6 months during the period from November 1st, 2008 until October 31st, 2009.
(4) PLEASE DO NOT CAST YOUR VOTE for any independent wrestling personalities who are male and that are cross-dressing pretending like they are women, OK? … let’s keep it real,people…..
this particular group site is dedicated to the LADIES of independent wrestling, alright?
(5) Also, I DO NOT;

I repeat,

DO NOT want to hear any whining, crying or complaining from you or from anybody about who really should have been voted in or who ought to have been voted in or whom you feel deserved to be voted in this category or that.
(6) Furthermore, NO BASHING for any of the ladies that do qualify! THAT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED WHATSOEVER!!! If you do so in any way, shape, form or fashion, then you can kiss your membership at INDY DIVAS good-bye. As far as any bashing of any ladies here at INDY DIVAS, it’s absolute ZERO TOLERANCE.

(7) Also for those of you who are INDY DIVAS group members or that eventually become INDY DIVAS group members, PLEASE be advised that all of your messages at INDY DIVAS are moderated.
