A small milestone, perhaps, but one that I wanted to celebrate. Many thanks too to our host, Fordela.com.  So pop a cork for Wrestlinwally.com and here’s to the next 100,000 pictures!

The Great Cheyenne Coming to MLW!

You heard it right! The Great Cheyenne … one of the most dominant wrestlers in the Midwest … currently burning through the competiton in New England … yes, THAT Great Cheyenne will be coming to Tennessee in January to see what damage she can do at Memphis Ladies Wrestling. This fierce warrior has already let it be known that she will not settle for anything less than the MLW title, and judging by what she said in a recent interview with MLW’s Jeff Borden, she has little doubt about her ability to take it: “They’re just fresh meat to me,” she snarls. “None of them can even come close to me. It will be my very great pleasure to destroy them all.”

Well folks The Great Cheyenne is making her debut at MLW on January 23rd and 24th. Now, it’s up to YOU to book the matches! Does she deserve a title shot against the ever-popular current champion, Su Yung? How would she fare against a Misty James or a Tiffany Roxx? Perhaps a Heather Owens or Tracy Taylor would be able to tame this wild woman … or will Cheyenne just make them food for the wolves?! So click the pic to get more details on requesting a match with The Great Cheyenne!

Another One From the Archives!

Just about a year ago PGWA held a show in beautiful downtown Millersville, TN that featured a PGWA title match between then champion Nikki Roxx and challenger Tracy Taylor. The rest, of course is history. Also a load of other great matches at the show. I kept these pictures “offline” for a while to allow PGWA first crack at them, but now they are all available for your enjoyment. The show was also a special tribute to the late Penny Banner, with her daughter Wendy Weaver in attendance, as well as legends Debbie Johnson and Candi Divine. Got to take some shots of some original photos of Penny Banner by Gene Gordon, a hero of mine.

Two Big Title Changes at DCW!

Diamond Championship Wrestling saw not one, but TWO titles change hands at last month’s show in beautiful downtown Hastings, PA. The first involved a defense of the DCW Women’s Title by fan favorite ‘Diva’ Sara Brooks, who had wrested the belt from Brittany Force only in October in a special casket match. Her challenger was the diminutive Angel Dust, who though short in stature, proved to be well-schooled in the arts of rule-breaking. In spite of this, Sara was on the verge of flattening Angel with her backflip splash, when Brittany Force appeared on the scene. The bad blood between these two runs so deep that Ms. Brooks postponed finishing her match to have a few choice words with Ms. Force. Angel took this opportunity to grab the title belt and nail the champion in the head with it. With Sara out cold, Angel got a quick pin and the women’s championship. Then, in a truly despicable act, and under the direction of Brittany, Angel proceeded to dislocate Ms. Brooks’ arm. Sara was saved from further injury only when the PA Posse ran into the ring, driving Brittany and Angel out. The PA Posse was joined by Honey, who asked for and got a title match against Angel Dust at the December DCW show. Stay posted for more exciting developments.

Brittany Force, having managed through her protege Angel Dust, to steal the belt from arch-rival Sara Brooks, was not content with this coup. In October she had issued a challenge to ‘Diamond’ Troy Justice for his DCW U.S. Title. Apparently unable to resist the temptation to take the title from Mr. Justice in his last ever wrestling match, Ms. Force may have bitten off more than she could chew. Ms. force was not without outside assistance – from her manager, ‘Marvelous’ Matt Bish; from Zubov, who gave Troy a slam at the beginning of the match; and even from Brittany’s ally Angel Dust – but Brittany insisted that she wanted to win this one on her own. Ms. Force certainly pulled out all the stops, lifting her far larger opponent off the mat more than once. But in the end, Mr. Justice showed why he held the title for as long as he did, getting the 3 count on a devastated Ms. Force. But in a move that shocked the entire DCW fan base, Mr. Justice conferred the U.S. title on Brittany as a token of his respect for her skills and moxie. Now one might have expected Ms. Force to return the respect, but such was not the case as she and Mr. Bish left the ring, showing nothing but disdain for Troy and the fans, and acting like the belt belonged to them. Brittany seems immune to all attempts to put her on the straight and narrow path! But will she be able to keep the title against the long line of MALE challengers waiting in the wings at DCW?

From the Crystal Fire Archives!

Recently, I’ve gotten a lot of requests for information about the mid-Tennessee grapplerette Crystal Fire.  I’ve had the chance to get many pictures of her wrestling for Memphis Ladies Wrestling, where she has established a reputation as a determined and oftentimes brutal heel.  But in the course of getting my computer refurbished last summer, one of my CD’s got put in the wrong place.  That CD had a match featuring said Ms. Fire versus another popular MLW wrestler, Constance.  This match was from SWF action on June 26, 2009 in beautiful downtown Tullahoma, TN.  So sit back and enjoy these pictures from way back when from two of the South’s finest wrestlers!  Go to the Image Gallery for all the pictures.  I’ve posted the album out of sequence for now so people will find it easily.
