July was a very busy month for Wrestlin Wally and now you can see the results in the Image Gallery.
First off was action in beautiful Falling Waters, West Virginia, where Kacee Carlisle collided with East Tennessee standout Misty James, in a 6-person mixed tag match. The hot afternoon sun must have affected both women as this sanctioned wrestling match turned into a wild brawl, much, I might add, to the delight of the fans!
Then it was down to the Old North State to see a couple matches sponsored by CWF – Mid-Atlantic and Arena Chicks (Amber O’Neal’s most recent wrestling project). First, Kristin Flake faced off against New York – based rookie Divina Fly. Ms. Fly certainly lived up to her name, but the more experienced Ms. Flake soon grounded Divina. Then, the skilled Allison Danger went up against the formidable Sara del Rey. A very intense match, but the ‘Death Ray’ simply was too much for Ms. Danger.
Then it was SCWA tag action as the previous night’s opponents, Allison and Sara, joined up again as the Dangerous Angels, to contend with the local favorites, Persephone and Kristin Flake. Persephone and Kristin more than held their own against the arrogant challengers, but a bit of carelessness on Ms. Flake’s part cost her team the match and seemed to have put a strain on her partnership with the hot-tempered Persephone.
Then it was back to ole West Virginny to see Misty James taking on the Mountain Girl, Nicole Starr. Nicole didn’t seem to appreciate the East Tennessean’s’ foray into her territory and she let Misty know that the hard way. But Ms. James wasn’t in Bluefield to lose and took the win over Ms. Starr.
Then it was up to Maine (a first time for Wrestlin Wally) for some NWA – On Fire action at the fabled Unity Raceway. The mysterious Mistress Belmont was up against the vivacious Barbie. But the Mistress did not wait for the opening bell as she attacked Barbie during her ring entrance with a passel of french fries! (Certainly one of the most unique ‘foreign objects’ I have ever seen in wrestling) Barbie put up a valiant effort, but eventually fell to Belmont’s tricks.
And last, but by no means least, there was SWO action in beautiful downtown Columbia, PA. The ever popular Roxie Cotton took on a newcomer to the Pennesylvania wrestling scene, the exotic Marti Belle. While new to the area, Ms. Belle made very clear that she was not a woman to be trifled with. But one must not confuse Ms. Cotton’s bubbly personality with weakness. Even after taking all of Marti and her manager’s rule breaking, Roxie came back for a decisive win.
So that’s July. I left out the WXCW show in Nashville since I don’t have the pictures up yet, but I should have those soon.
