Hey Wally,
Great pics as always. I admittedly have not seen all of the Shimmer shows yet, but it surprises me how Cat Power; whom I thought would be a dominant force in Shimmer; has a horrible won/loss record in the promotion. I understand that she takes on tough challengers, but I expected a woman of her strentgh and skill to have a better percentage of victories. Just an observation, but would be curious to hear your take on it.

You’ve put your finger on a real mystery, Mr. Chain. Last time out, Ms. Power went 1 – 2. No surprise taking a loss to LuFisto … not many women out there can beat the ‘Missionary of Violence.’ But her loss to Jessie McKay was certainly an embarrassment, since Cat had her outclassed in size and experience. Unfortunately, poor Nevaeh had to bear the brunt of Ms. Power’s frustration later on. If I had to give a simple explanation, it would be this … overconfidence! Cat seemed to think Ms. McKay would be a pushover, but Jessie showed that some serious skills and a lot of quick thinking can take down even the most formidable opponent. By the end of the match, Jessie’s amazing kicks had taken a lot of starch out of Cat, so that when the Canadian was a bit slow trying to put Jessie into a submission hold, she found herself on her back, a quick victim of McKay’s patented ‘Boyfriend Stealer’ finisher. But don’t worry Mr. Chain. I am sure we have not heard the last ‘meow’ from the Cat!
