The tag team of ‘Rock n’ Roll’ Rock-C and Tiffany Roxx, a/k/a The Rockettes, became the inaugural holders of the newly minted Magnifient Ladies Wrestling World Tag Team Championship belts last night after a wild match in Trenton, Tennessee. In MLW’s second ever live show, The Rockettes faced off against tough girls Simply Luscious and Sassy Stephie, a/k/a ‘Simply Sassy’ for what is sure to become one of the most coveted tag team titles in women’s wrestling. After a hard fought match, it looked like it was curtains for The Rockettes as Simply Luscious held Rock-C’s arms behind her and Sassy Stephie wound up for a haymaker, but a quick thinking Rock-C was able to slip out of Luscious’ hold at the very last second. Stephie’s haymaker did its work, but not on its intended target! Luscious went down like a ton of bricks. In the ensuing confusion, the two rule-breakers were rolled up and pinned by Rock-C and Tiffany, giving the Georgia Peaches both the win and the title. The crowd, which was totally behind the Rockettes throughout the match, went wild! But the enraged losers were not satisfied with the outcome and brutally attacked The Rockettes from behind before running off to the locker room. A distasteful and unsportsmen-like ending to an otherwise excellent match. You can be sure The Rockettes will not soon forget Sassy and Luscious’ little bit of chicanery!
