Many people who knew her well will hopefully have many great stories to tell. I’m just honored to say I got to meet the lady and take a few pictures. She was very gracious. May she rest in peace.

Su Yung held the much-coveted MLW title longer than anyone; and is now just waiting for a chance to take what she considers is rightfully hers. And rising star Veronica Fairchild is eager to get that belt around her waist as well. Unfortunately for both of them, ‘Rock ‘n Roll’ Rock-C wears that belt now, and shows little sign of wanting to turn it over to either of them. But until these women get their chance at MLW gold, they have begun a feud that has already become the stuff of legends. Su Yung and Veronica Fairchild have battled it out half a dozen times or so in the MLW ring, and they are all even. Just a sign of how intense the rivalry is between these two grapplers. A rematch is inevtiable! But only YOU can make it happen. Fortunately, these two MLW stars are both slated to be in action at the next MLW taping on September 11, 2010. This feud is just ready to explode. Now’s your opportunity to book that match and see who comes out on top. Click the pic of the two rivals to get all the info you need about how you can book this epic battle! And take a look at the awesome lineup, which features some of the best names in the business.

How much does Misty James love wrestling? Well, the fact that she was MARRIED in a wrestling ring might give you some idea! In fact, she and her husband, ‘Handsome’ Beau James, as the self-styled Queen and King of Kingsport, respectively, have been reigning over East Tennessee wrestling for some time now. Trained by her 20-year veteran husband as well as by wrestling legends Bobby Fulton and Bobby Eaton, Misty made her wrestling debut in 2007.
Since then, the statuesque beauty has been making a mark on the women’s wrestling scene. Her height, natural athleticism, old school style, and intensity in the ring remind one of a young Susan Green, with whom Misty has often been compared.
The Southern States’ Wrestling Ladies’ Champion since 2009, Ms. James has been dominating opponents all over East Tennessee. But in the process, she has picked up a few enemies along the way, especially Rebecca Lynn, who has been her most determined foe at SSW. In addition, Misty James has been a mainstay at Magnificent Ladies Wrestling (MLW), where she is a fan favorite and has on on-going and bitter feud with ‘Rock ‘n Roll’ Rock-C.
More recently, Misty has been making inroads in West Virginia, where she has battled and bested both Nicole Starr and Kacee Carlisle. It seems clear that the ‘Queen of Kingsport’ has set her sights on other territories and new crowns. Lady wrestlers all over had better watch their backs … or they may well find themselves ON their backs, being pinned by Misty James!
Click the pic above to go to Misty’s brand new Facebook Fan Page to keep up to date on the Queen’s doings!

July was a very busy month for Wrestlin Wally and now you can see the results in the Image Gallery.

First off was action in beautiful Falling Waters, West Virginia, where Kacee Carlisle collided with East Tennessee standout Misty James, in a 6-person mixed tag match. The hot afternoon sun must have affected both women as this sanctioned wrestling match turned into a wild brawl, much, I might add, to the delight of the fans!

Then it was down to the Old North State to see a couple matches sponsored by CWF – Mid-Atlantic and Arena Chicks (Amber O’Neal’s most recent wrestling project). First, Kristin Flake faced off against New York – based rookie Divina Fly. Ms. Fly certainly lived up to her name, but the more experienced Ms. Flake soon grounded Divina. Then, the skilled Allison Danger went up against the formidable Sara del Rey. A very intense match, but the ‘Death Ray’ simply was too much for Ms. Danger.

Then it was SCWA tag action as the previous night’s opponents, Allison and Sara, joined up again as the Dangerous Angels, to contend with the local favorites, Persephone and Kristin Flake. Persephone and Kristin more than held their own against the arrogant challengers, but a bit of carelessness on Ms. Flake’s part cost her team the match and seemed to have put a strain on her partnership with the hot-tempered Persephone.

Then it was back to ole West Virginny to see Misty James taking on the Mountain Girl, Nicole Starr. Nicole didn’t seem to appreciate the East Tennessean’s’ foray into her territory and she let Misty know that the hard way. But Ms. James wasn’t in Bluefield to lose and took the win over Ms. Starr.

Then it was up to Maine (a first time for Wrestlin Wally) for some NWA – On Fire action at the fabled Unity Raceway. The mysterious Mistress Belmont was up against the vivacious Barbie. But the Mistress did not wait for the opening bell as she attacked Barbie during her ring entrance with a passel of french fries! (Certainly one of the most unique ‘foreign objects’ I have ever seen in wrestling) Barbie put up a valiant effort, but eventually fell to Belmont’s tricks.

And last, but by no means least, there was SWO action in beautiful downtown Columbia, PA. The ever popular Roxie Cotton took on a newcomer to the Pennesylvania wrestling scene, the exotic Marti Belle. While new to the area, Ms. Belle made very clear that she was not a woman to be trifled with. But one must not confuse Ms. Cotton’s bubbly personality with weakness. Even after taking all of Marti and her manager’s rule breaking, Roxie came back for a decisive win.

So that’s July. I left out the WXCW show in Nashville since I don’t have the pictures up yet, but I should have those soon.

Pro Wrestling Respect held its third ever show just last week in beautiful downtown Burlington, New Jersey, and, continuing that promotion’s dedication to women’s wrestling, the show featured two women’s matches.

In the first women’s contest, rising star ‘Jumpin’ Jamilia Craft took on the mouthy Courtney Prezleigh, in her PWR debut. The two women shook hands at the outset of the match, setting a nice sportsman-like tone, but the good will didn’t last long when Ms. Prezleigh, getting the worst of things against her masked opponent, began taking liberties with the rules. Courtney had Jamilia in trouble several times during the match, but the ‘Craft-y’ one was always able to make her escape. The end came suddenly though, when Ms. Craft, having ducked under a potentially devastating clothesline, nailed Ms. Prezleigh with a spear that knocked her right off her feet and set her up for the uncontested pin. Another strong win for Jamilia and an impressive debut for Ms. Prezleigh.

The second match of the afternoon was a tag match pitting the team of Daizee Haze and Rayna von Tosh against MsChif and ‘Bonesaw’ Jesse Brook. MsChif continued her devious ways at PWR and found the perfect partner in the debuting Ms. Brook. Their strategy was simple. Keep Daizee out of the ring and isolate Rayna von Tosh. The two women began a double-barrelled assault on the voluptuous redhead that made even veteran wrestling fans wince. But what they did not count on is the fact that Ms. von Tosh is tough as nails! Rayna endured everything the dastardly duo dished out, and, after blocking a supplex attempt by MsChif, tagged Daizee into the ring. Ms. Haze nailed MsChif with an off the top rope hurricanrana and nearly had the pin. But it was Rayna who saved the day, spearing MsChif just as she was about to use her infamous Green Mist on Ms. Haze. The dazed Chif was then easy prey for the Haze’s pin. Rayna’s save was doubly satisfying since she herself had been the victim of a Green Mist attack in a previous PWR show. An excellent match! A grudging nod should be given to Ms. Brook, who, though establishing herself as a rulebreaker, proved to be an extraordinarily tough and skilled combatant. Under MsChif’s tutelage, she may well become one of the most feared women in PWR! ‘Bonesaw’ indeed!

The pic above shows Jesse Brook apprarently trying to remove Rayna von Tosh’s head! Click the pic to check up on future Pro Wrestling Respect events and to buy DVD’s of the shows. You will not be disappointed!
