When Barbi Hayden got her title shot against the reigning champion, Melanie Cruise, few held out any hope that the scrappy blonde from Texas would have a chance against the utterly dominating Ms. Cruise. And when Melanie stepped out for the match accompanied by a whole entourage of rough and tough Chicago girls, Taylor Made and Nikki St. John, many feared that the match would turn into a massacre! Indeed, Melanie used every move in her arsenal to punish Barbi, while Melanie’s devious hench girls kicked, pounded and choked her every time the ref’s back was turned (which was a lot!). Things did not look good for Ms. Hayden. But then Melanie’s team got a bit too confident and they made a critical error (you will have to see the video to find out!) that left Melanie out cold on the canvas and left Barbi free to get the pin and the title! A real David and Goliath story here, folks. And you can be sure Melanie (as well as Taylor and Nikki) will be gunning for that belt which they undoubtedly feel was robbed from them by the resilient and clever Ms. Hayden. Congratulations to Barbi on her new title!

At UWF’s annual Vicious Vixens Valentine’s Show, a new champion was crowned after Felony Foxx vacated the belt. L’il Naughty assumed the much coveted title after defeating Mary Elizabeth Monroe. Ms. Monroe, once a fan favorite at UWF, has lately seemed a bit full of herself, as if the UWF Vixens’ title were owed to her. But L’il Naughty showed her that the UWF Vixens’ title is never given, only earned! Mary Elizabeth seemed to have the match in the bag several times, but the stubborn Ms. Naughty always managed to escape. In the end, L’il Naughty executed a devastating back-to-back neckbreaker that left a stunned Monroe motionless on the mat for several minutes. A great win for L’il Naughty that makes her the first two time Vixen’s champion in the history of UWF!

That’s right! Next Sunday in beautiful downtown Georgetown, Kentucky, the United Wrestling Federation will be hosting its much anticipated Vicious Vixens’ Valentine’s Special. In addition to the regular UWF Vixens’ Roster, including Mary Elizabeth Monroe, L’il Naughty, Epiphany, Mistress Burgandi, Pippi & Karmine, Trash Cassidy, Venus Meanest and Amazing Maria, OVW rookie standout Aleida Ortiz will be making her debut and Jessie Belle Smothers will be making her return to Georgetown after a too long hiatus! The lovely Felony Foxx will also be on hand and Cheyenne and Steph will be the special guest referees, making a truly all female show!

Little Bit of Destruction: L’il Bit and Destiny

The Magnificent Ladies’ Wrestling Tag Team Title has been at the center of controversy of late. After the Rockettes had been stripped of the title for failure to defend, the newly formed tag team Smokin’ Justice, consisting of noted rulebreakers Jennifer Justice and Nikki Lane faced off against the team of Allison Danger and Leva Bates. Allison and Leva won the match, but MLW Commissioner, the devious Veronica Fairchild, awarded the belts to Smokin’ Justice for having ‘done a good job’ in their match. In December, Smokin Justice gained some credibility to their claim by actually defeating the Rockettes. Fortunately, at that same taping, the ‘Queen of Destruction’ Destiny teamed up with L’il Bit to challenge Smokin’ Justice for the belts. Destiny said then that the team had just formed and that she and L’il Bit would have to train together to gel as a team, but that come January 21st, they would be ready to take down Smokin’ Justice and take their ill-gotten belts as well. Smokin’ Justice readily accepted the challenge. But some commentators wonder if they might rue they day they did so. L’il Bit has been on a winning streak at MLW, defeating many women far bigger than herself and Destiny … well, Destiny has been leaving a wake of blood and broken bodies behind her as she has worked her way through the MLW roster. Folks, this match is gonna be BIG! It MUST happen! But SPONSORS for the match are STILL NEEDED!
