NWA Women’s Title holder Tasha Simone fended off a challenge from Tiffany Roxx in NWA-Top Rope action from beautiful downtown Lebanon, Tennessee the weekend before last. In an oftentimes brutal 35 minute battle, Ms. Roxx several times had Tasha’s shoulders to the mat, but was unable to get the pin. Ms. Simone was assisted ringside by two of her lackeys, who took advantage of every opportunity to wear down Tiffany both outside and inside the ring. But a game Ms. Roxx fought back and fought back hard. It wasn’t until the very last moments of the match that Tasha was able to hit her opponent with a piledriver, making Tiffany easy prey for the pin. In a disgusting display of poor sportswomanship, Tasha and her goons continued their attacks and abuse of Tiffany until Hammer Jack ran in to make the save. Tasha’s glee at winning this surprisingly close match was quickly shut down when it was announced that Malia Hosaka would be participating in the NWA Women’s tournament in Houston on June 12. Kudos to Tiffany for such a great match against a vicious veteran like Tasha Simone, who will now have to watch her back as former NWA title holder Malia seems intent on getting her belt back!
